First Day Of Work At My First Ever Job

So I have been job hunting for quite some time now (since the start of summer I think) and I have finally been offered a job but it all happened so fast! I applied for a job as a waitress at this pub/restaurant seeing as I have experience in hospitality from my work experience. Well I didn't know if they had any jobs going, I just emailed them (I've been doing this a lot with loads of places as well as applying to places that actually do have vacancies) and I got an email back the same day saying that there was a job available and could I go for an interview that same day! I was super nervous, not just because it was my first ever real job interview but because it was all happening all suddenly. The interview was really quick and easy and it went great so they offered me to come in and do a trial shift just two days later (which was today, I have just come back from it). The trial shift was two hours long and what I had to do was easy to learn however a lot of it was new to me as the way they did things was a lot different to the way I learnt at my work experience (summer 2012) however the people who work there are really lovely! Only one thing went wrong today, I spilt a drink all over the table but I always do something wrong straight away. At my work experience I broke 5 glasses on the first day. That just happens with me but I quickly learn and adapt. (I feel like I'm writing out a job application right now to be honest, saying all my flaws and strengths). I did earn £10 today! They pay on the day and in cash so it is my first ever bit of earned money! I need to spend it on something good however at the moment I am trying to save back the £80 I have spent on Christmas presents (and I'm still not even done). So yeah that was my first day of work! Took me ages to get a job but I finally got one. So Never Say Never basically!!

Sometime next year I am hoping to take another life saving course (but more intense than my last one) and get a job as a lifeguard instead because you earn more and lifeguards are freaking awesome!

Thanks for reading :)
